Zhonglin He
Research field: Computer education, Computer network and Information security research.

Professor and master's supervisor, and the dean of the Computer School of Huanggang Normal University.

Zhonglin He, male, born in August 1971 in Wuxue, Hubei Province, is a professor and master's supervisor, and the dean of the Computer School of Huanggang Normal University. He is Member of China Computer Society, standing director of Education Informatization and Network Security Professional Committee of Hubei Higher Education Society, and chairman of Huanggang Computer Association. He has been engaged in computer education, computer network and information security research for a long time, presided over and completed one key scientific research project and two teaching and research projects of the Provincial Department of Education, directed one national and one provincial innovation and entrepreneurship training program for college students, published more than 30 papers, including more than 10 SCI, EI, ISTP searches, applied for four computer software copyrights and one utility model patent.

Witold Pedrycz (Life Fellow, IEEE) received the M.Sc., Ph.D., and D.Sc. degrees from the Silesian University of Technology, Gliwice, Poland, in 1977, 1980, and 1984, respectively. He is currently a Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada, the Systems Research Institute, Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw, Poland, the Department of Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Istinye University, Sariyer/Istanbul, Turkey, and also the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He has published numerous papers in these areas; the current H-index is 125 (Google Scholar). He is 82 on the list top-h scientists for computer science and electronics (https://www.guide2research.com/scientists/) (link is external). He is also the author of 21 research monographs and edited volumes covering various aspects of computational intelligence, data mining, and software engineering. His research interests include computational intelligence, fuzzy modeling and granular computing, knowledge discovery and data science, pattern recognition, data science, knowledge-based neural networks, and control engineering. In 2012, he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada. In 2007, he received the Prestigious Norbert Wiener Award from the IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society. He was a recipient of the IEEE Canada Computer Engineering Medal, the Cajastur Prize for Soft Computing from the European Centre for Soft Computing, the Killam Prize, the Fuzzy Pioneer Award from the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society, and the 2019 Meritorious Service Award from the IEEE Systems Man and Cybernetics Society. He is vigorously involved in editorial activities. He is also the Editor-in-Chief of Information Sciences, the Editor-in-Chief of WIREs Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery (Wiley), and the Co-Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Granular Computing (Springer) and Journal of Data Information and Management (Springer). He is a member of a number of editorial boards of international journals.

Ljiljana Trajković
Research field: Communication network, Nonlinear circuits and systems.
Professor, Simon Fraser University, Canada.

Ljiljana Trajkovic received the Dipl. Ing. degree from University of Pristina, Yugoslavia, the M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering and computer engineering from Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from University of California at Los Angeles. She is currently a professor in the School of Engineering Science, Simon Fraser University, Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. Her research interests include communication networks and dynamical systems. She served as IEEE Division X Delegate/Director, President of the IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society, and President of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society. Dr. Trajkovic serves as Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Transactions on Human-Machine Systems and Associate Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Open Journal of Systems Engineering. She served as a Distinguished Lecturer of the IEEE Circuits and System Society and a Distinguished Lecturer of the IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society. She is a Fellow of the IEEE.

Hoshang Kolivand

Associate Professor, Liverpool John Moores University, UK.

Hoshang Kolivand is an Associate Professor specializing in AI and Mixed Reality. He holds an MS degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from Amirkabir University of Technology, Iran, and a PhD from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). With a Post-Doctoral background in Augmented Reality from UTM, he has a wealth of expertise in the field. Previously, Dr. Kolivand worked as a lecturer at Shahid Beheshti University in Iran and later as a Senior Lecturer at UTM. Currently, he serves as a Associate Professor and Head of Applied Computing Research group at Liverpool John Moores University, UK. Dr. Kolivand has published extensively in international journals, conference proceedings, and technical papers. He is an active member of various international conferences and journals as well as Senior member of IEEE. Additionally, he has authored several books on object-oriented programming and mathematics. His research interests encompass AI, AR/VR and HCI, where he explores innovative applications and advancements.

Xiaodong Liu

Professor, Edinburgh Napier University, UK

Prof Xiaodong Liu has been very active in the research in AI-driven software engineering, focusing on pervasive systems (Internet of Things), service-oriented architecture, evolution of cloud services, and intelligence-driven smart systems. He has won 12 external grants and successfully led or leading these externally funded projects with the role of principal investigator. Currently Prof Liu leads the Intelligence-Driven Software Engineering Research Group. He is the founder a spin out company, FlexiCAGE Ltd. He has published 170 papers in refereed international journals and conferences and 5 book chapters. He is the inventor of 1 patent in Generative Component Adaptation registered in UK, USA and at International Level (PCT). He has been the chair, co-chair or PC member of a number of IEEE and IASTED International Conferences. He is the associate editor of 2 international journals and the editorial board member of 3 international journals. He is the chief editor of 3 IGI Global Research Handbooks. He is the regular reviewer of other 6 international journals. He is a senior member of IEEE Computer Society, and a member of British Computer Society.

Danilo Pelusi

Danilo Pelusi received the degree in Physics from the University of Bologna (Italy) and the Ph.D. degree in Computational Astrophysics from the University of Teramo (Italy). Currently, he is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at the Department of Communication Sciences, University of Teramo. Editor of Springer, Elsevier and CRS books, and Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Emerging Topics in Computational Intelligence (2017-2020), IEEE Access (2018-present), IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems (2022-present) and IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems (2022-present), he is Guest Editor for Elsevier, Springer, MDPI and Hindawi journals. Keynote speaker, Guest of Honor and Chair of IEEE conferences, he is inventor of international patents on Artificial Intelligence. Philip W. T. Pong

Associate Professor, New Jersey Institute of Technology, USA.

Philip W. T. Pong received a B.Eng. from the University of Hong Kong (HKU) in 2002 with 1st class honours. Then he obtained a PhD in engineering at the University of Cambridge in 2005. He was a postdoctoral researcher at the Magnetic Materials Group at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for three years. Currently he is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). His research interest focuses on the fault detection, predictive maintenance, and anomaly detection of power grid. He is the Founding Director of the Green Technology Research and Training Laboratory, leading the research and education activities of offshore wind energy at NJIT. Philip Pong is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (FIET), a Fellow of the Institute of Physics (FInstP), a Fellow of the Energy Institute (FEI), a Fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (FIMMM), a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (FHKIE), a Fellow of the NANOSMAT Society (FNS), a chartered physicist (CPhys), a chartered engineer (CEng), a chartered energy engineer, a registered professional engineer (R.P.E. in Electrical, Electronics, Energy), and a Senior Member of IEEE (SMIEEE). He serves on the editorial boards for several IEEE and SCI journals.

Sardar M. N. Islam

Professor Sardar M.N. Islam has lived, studied, worked and travelled (extensively) in different countries over a long period of time. In his research, he has undertaken rigorous scientific studies of universal and emerging issues in several disciplines. Currently, he is a Professor at Victoria University's Institute for Sustainable Industries and Liveable Cities. He was a Professor of Business, Economics and Finance from 2007 to 2017, and has had many years of academic work experience in teaching, supervision, and multi-disciplinary research. He has published extensively across a broad range of disciplines. His research has attracted international acclaim, leading to a number of appointments as distinguished visiting professor, visiting professor or adjunct professor in artificial intelligence, accounting, industrial engineering, finance, economics and management in several different countries. Professor Islam has also received a many invitations to address international conferences as a keynote speaker. He has published a large number of research books in artificial intelligence and digitalisation, game theory, operations research, supply chian management, accounting, finance, business, economics and law. Each of these books makes significant scientific contributions to the literature. These books are published by prestigious publishers and the majority of his books are published in highly regarded book series.

Haibin Zhu

Dr. Haibin Zhu is a Full Professor and the Coordinator of the Computer Science Program, the Founding Director of the Collaborative Systems Laboratory, a member of the University Budget Plan committee, Arts and Science Executive Committee, Nipissing University, Canada. He is also an affiliate professor of Concordia Univ. and an adjunct professor of Laurentian Univ., Canada. He has accomplished (published or in press) over 230+ research works including 40+ IEEE Transactions articles, six books, five book chapters, four journal issues, and four conference proceedings. He has been Associate Professor at Polytechnic of Milan, Italy and Visiting Professor at the University of Texas at Austin, USA, and visiting researcher at George Mason University, USA. His main research interests are: artificial intelligence, computational intelligence, intelligent systems, machine learning, pattern analysis and recognition, signal and image processing, biometrics, intelligent measurement systems, industrial applications, digital processing architectures, fault tolerance, cloud computing infrastructures, and internet-of-things. Original results have been published in 400+ papers in international journals, proceedings of international conferences, books, and book chapters. He is Fellow of the IEEE, Distinguished Scientist of ACM, and Senior Member of INNS. Vishnu S. Pendyala, PhD is a faculty member in Applied Data Science and an Academic Senator with San Jose State University, current chair of the IEEE Computer Society Santa Clara Valley chapter, and IEEE Computer Society Distinguished Contributor. During his recent 3-year term as an ACM Distinguished speaker and before that as a researcher and industry expert, he gave numerous (50+) invited talks in conferences, faculty development programs, and other forums some of which are available on YouTube and IEEE.tv. He is a senior member of the IEEE and has over two decades of experience in the software industry in the Silicon Valley, USA. His book, “Veracity of Big Data,” is available in several libraries, including those of MIT, Stanford, CMU, the US Congress and internationally. Two other books on machine learning and software development that he edited are also well-received and found place in the US Library of Congress and other reputed libraries. Dr. Pendyala taught a one-week course sponsored by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, under the GIAN program in 2017 to Computer Science faculty from all over the country and delivered the keynote in a similar program sponsored by AICTE, Government of India in 2022. Dr. Pendyala recently served on a US government's National Science Foundation (NSF) proposal review panel. He received the Ramanujan memorial gold medal and a shield for his college at the State Math Olympiad. He also played an active role in Computer Society of India and was the Program Secretary for its annual national convention. He served as an Area Governor with Toastmasters International and received the Distinguished Toastmaster, Area Governor of the Year, and Silver Scribe awards.

Zhao Zhang

Dr. Zhao Zhang received the Ph.D. degree from City University of Hong Kong in 2013. He is now a Professor at the School of Computer and Information, Hefei University of Technology, Hefei, China. He was a Visiting Research Engineer at National University of Singapore, from Feb to May 2012. He then visited the National Laboratory of Pattern Recognition at Chinese Academy of Sciences, from Sep to Dec 2012. His research interests include Machine Learning, Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition. He has authored/co-authored more than 110 technical papers published at prestigious journals and conferences, including 44 IJCV or IEEE/ACM Transactions regular papers and 37 Top-tier conference papers (e.g., CVPR, NeurIPS, ACM MM, ICLR, AAAI and IJCAI), with Google Scholar citations over 5,000 times and H-index 41. He is serving/served as an Associate Editor (AE) of IEEE Transactions on Image Processing (IEEE TIP), IEEE Transactions on Big Data (IEEE TBD), Pattern Recognition (PR) and Neural Networks (NN); also served as a Managing Guest Editor (MGE) for Journal of Visual Communication and Image Representation (JVCI), Image and Vision Computing (IVC). Hongliang Ren received his Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering (Specialized in Biomedical Engineering) from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in 2008.  He has navigated his academic journey through Chinese University of Hong Kong, Johns Hopkins University, Children’s Hospital Boston, Harvard Medical School, Children’s National Medical Center, United States, and National University of Singapore (NUS). He is currently Associate Professor, Department of Electronic Engineering at Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Adjunct Associate Professor, Department of Biomedical Engineering at National University of Singapore. He has served as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Automation Science & Engineering (T-ASE) and Medical & Biological Engineering & Computing (MBEC). His areas of interest include biorobotics, intelligent control, medical mechatronics, soft continuum robots, soft sensors, and multisensory learning in medical robotics. He is the recipient of NUS Young Investigator Award and Engineering Young Researcher Award, IAMBE Early Career Award 2018, Interstellar Early Career Investigator Award 2018, ICBHI Young Investigator Award 2019, and Health Longevity Catalyst Award 2022 by NAM & RGC.
